Introduction: How much do you know about circular Peyote shapes?
Now, in this section, we're going to be applying the same procedure to the circular charts. So, first you need to understand the stitch structure for your shape. If you've never beaded one of these shapes before, don't worry. You can certainly follow the lesson through and see how you get on. But you might want to leave that shape and return to the course when you have a pattern that uses the shape.
So, I definitely recommend dipping in and out of the chapters in this section. Use what you need, when you need it, and don't worry about trying to understand the theory. It may well sound complicated, but, as with the other techniques, it will all make sense when you have actually learned how to bead these shapes.
Now, let's start by finding out how much you know at this point. As with the previous quizzes, it really doesn't matter if you get everything wrong. That just shows that you're going to find this section really helpful as you grow your beading skills over time. On the other hand, you might surprise yourself! So, please download the file below and let's give this little quiz a try...!
As I said at the start, don't worry if you got everything wrong in that quiz!
In the next lesson, I'm going to start by explaining the structure of circular Peyote stitch. Then, we'll take each shape in turn and I'll show you how to apply that structure so you can see exactly which bead is in each row. You will also learn where the rows start and finish. Then, you'll have all the information you need to read your chart, or write out a word chart if you prefer.
So, let's continue...
