The question you're probably asking right now is, 'how do I know if this workshop is for me?'
Well, I have a simple answer: if you like the project, then yes, this is for you.
Will I be able to make this?
Absolutely! If you're worried about whether you're capable of completing this, you don't need to worry. The project uses simple techniques.
I have demonstrated each stage on video. So, as in a real workshop, you can see exactly what you need to do.
I have also made the first video (Modified Right Angle Weave technique) free for you to preview before you enrol. That way, you can check that you will be happy following my video instructions.
Plus, you can ask me questions and get personal help from me if you get stuck, just like in a real workshop.
Will I have time to complete this project?
Yes! On this workshop you can follow along at your own pace. So, there is no pressure to complete in a given time.
You also have lifetime access to this. So, you don't have to make everything in one session. You can come back as often as you need to.
I have split the project into smaller parts, so you can complete everything in stages. That means you can fit this into whatever beading time you have.
Will I need to buy loads of new beads for this?
No, you shouldn't need to invest in a load of new - or fancy - beads. You can see the materials list before you start. So, you will see this necklace uses traditional seed beads that you probably already have in your stash.
Once you are enrolled on the course, I have also given you a lot of tips for saving money on the materials. Plus I have talked about making substitutions so you can use up beads from your stash.
What do I get on this workshop?
If you keep scrolling down, you can read my biography and find out why I'm going to be a great teacher for this workshop!
Then, below that, you will see the full curriculum. So, you can see exactly what you get:
- a downloadable PDF tutorial with the full project instructions
- videos demonstrating every technique and stage of the project
- the opportunity to ask me questions if you get stuck
- you can also respond to comments from others on the course
This really is just like a real workshop, but from the comfort of your own home, completed at your own pace.
How does payment work?
You have the option to pay by credit card, or to use Paypal.
The price is the same for both options, although one is shown in British Pounds and the other US dollars - they are equivalent.
Once you have made payment, you will get access to the full workshop. You can start beading at any time and work at your own pace.
This is a single payment that gives you life-time access to this workshop. So, you can come back and use it to make more necklaces any time you want.
If you would prefer to just buy a tutorial and not enrol on the workshop, you can find a pattern PDF for this project at this link: https://beadflowers.co.uk/beads/patterns/choose-ma...
Your Beading Tutor
Hi! I'm Katie and I'm here to help you become a better beader. Now, no matter whether you've just started out or you've been beading for a while, you probably come across things you don't understand or can't do.
So, that's where I come in. I've been beading since 2003. I was self-taught originally, so I'm pretty sure that whatever 'pain point' you're currently experiencing, it's something I've also faced and overcome. Which means I understand your frustration, but I can also help you to find a way through it.
My own beading experience covers a multitude of different techniques (beadweaving, French beading, bead embroidery and more!). I've published books, patterns in magazines, I even edited a beading magazine for 3 years! And I'm a qualified teacher.
All of that is very nice, but it's not what drives me. I am passionate about beading, in all its forms, and I want others to share that passion. So, my dream is to help more people, like you, to get the most out of their beading. That's why I set up the 'Become a Better Beader' group and why I started publishing beading courses. I've developed the courses specifically to address the things that people tell me they are struggling with. So, if there's something you find difficult, let me know about it.
You can also access hundreds of free informational blogs about beading and join the 'Better Beader' group at www.myworldofbeads.com.
