How to design a Peyote or bead loom bracelet

You probably still have some questions before you commit to this. So, let me try and answer them for you...

Do you need any previous design experience?

Absolutely not.

If you have tried designing in the past, that's great. But this course will teach you from the basics. So, you don't need any experience to take this now.

Do you need any beading experience?

I will be asking you to make the bracelet that you design. So, you should know how to do flat Peyote stitch OR how to work in square stitch or on a bead loom.

If you don't have any of those skills yet, then I do have some other classes that can help you with the basic beading techniques, so take a look through my other classes and see which you need.

Alternatively, if you're keen to get started, you can join this course now. You won't need any beading skills for the first section. So, you can begin learning about design and work on your beading skills alongside that ready for when you come to make your bracelet.

Do you need any design software or special equipment for this?

No.

If you already have some design software that you are used to using, then you can absolutely use that to complete the practical exercises on this course.

But I have provided you with graph paper and full instructions. So, you will just need some colouring pens or pencils to create your design.

When it comes to making your bracelet, you will simply need your beads, a clasp, thread, beading needle, scissors and any other equipment you would normally use for a bead-weaving project.

Will you need to buy any beads or other materials for this course?

No, not necessarily.

You can easily complete this course using just the beads you have in your stash. Part of the process you will be learning is how to choose suitable materials, and that can mean just using what you already have.

However, if you want to buy more beads because you have a very specific idea in mind, you are welcome to do that. You won't need any beads until later on in the course. The first part is all about creating a design on paper. So, you have plenty of time to think about (and order) whatever you might need.

Will you be making the bracelet I showed in the video?

No. But you will be making a bracelet of your own design.

The bracelet I showed was just an example of the style of project you'll be learning how to design here. This course will be teaching you how to take an idea and turn it into a design of your own. You get to decide on what beading stitch you use. You choose your beads and colouring. And you decide on the size of your bracelet and the kind of clasp you use to fasten it. So, you will be learning how to turn that idea in your head into reality.

Is this really worth the price?

Yes.

In fact, for the knowledge I'm passing on to you, I would say this is actually a bargain price.

It has taken me 18 years and counting to gain the knowledge that I'm going to be sharing with you here. I did all that the hard way by just experimenting on my own and making mistakes.

So, you choose how much time you spend on this and when you do it.

How long do you have access to this material?

For life.

So, that means, if I decide to add extra materials in the future, you automatically get access to them at no extra cost.
