How does the online class work?

If you like the sound of what you've heard (and seen) so far, then how do you get started?

Well, first, you have a choice to make. You can take this online class to learn how to make this beaded box. The benefits of doing that are:

  • You can use the comments boxes to ask me questions if you get stuck
  • You can also say 'hello' and compare notes with other students, again using the comments boxes. So, this will give you some sense of community
  • I have included video demonstrations that you can view if you're not sure how the basic techniques work. So, this will be particularly valuable for you if you're new to Peyote stitch. (Just a note, if you've already taken my 'Christmas Presents Beaded Box' class on here, then you can use the videos from that course to learn the techniques you need for this box)

If you want all those benefits, then enrol on the course now and you can continue to make the project.

However, if you feel like you don't need any of those extras, you can simply download a PDF tutorial from my Beadflowers website. That will also allow you to choose just a single box design, instead of all three stacking boxes shown here.

Just to be clear, you still get the PDF tutorial to download on this course - in addition to all the other benefits I've mentioned above.

How does the class work?

Basically, once you are enrolled, you can simply progress through the class at your own pace. So, you would start by downloading your PDF. Then, you can access the videos at the appropriate moments. You can keep your computer handy as you work, so you can watch the videos as often as you need.

If you have questions, just leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you're asking for help because something has gone wrong on your project, it's great if you can also attach a photo, so I can see what you are doing. To do this, just click on the image icon in the comment box and you will prompted to attach your photo file.

Please note, all comments are moderated before they appear. So, you may have to wait a while for me to moderate comments and answer your queries. I try to do this fairly promptly during business hours (in the UK). But if you happen to be asking something outside of business hours, it can take a while. So, please be patient. You can either continue to try and solve your problem on your own, or just put your beadwork to one side while you wait for me to answer you.

What if I can't see the videos?

Some devices and some web browsers can cause problems with the video. So can slow internet speeds. These are all factors that are beyond my control. But this page will give you some things to try if you are having problems: https://support.teachable.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000115971-Common-Technical-Issues-Troubleshooting?source=search

How do I return to the class?

You don't have to complete this project all at once. Just make sure you bookmark this page and you can return to the class at any time.

If you have already enrolled on the course, but you are being asked to pay again, it's just because you aren't logged in. So, just log in to your account and you will see you have access to the full class.

So, that should get you all set up to enrol now and enjoy making your own beaded box.
